Hm. The anime classic “Akira” is being remade for an American audience - to be released in 2011. I’m not a big anime fan, but this bodes ill. Will we even be alive in 2011? The jury is out on that one. Here’s a “preview”:

Here’s a short scene from my work in progress. It’s a half hour long animated documentary about oil, energy and growth:
The animation of the man is taken from one of the old propaganda cartoons from the 1940s. I reanimated it in Flash, which allows me to resize it, and to reuse it in the second part of the clip.

She Who Measures is an eerie piece about the consumer society.
Polish SF writer Stanislaw Lem dealt with this theme many years ago (long before “The Matrix” films) in his book “The Futurological Congress”. Don’t read this link if you’re going to read the book, as it contains spoilers:
