TEXTURELABS PHOTOSHOP MAGIC

Posted on January 15, 2023January 15, 2023 by dermot

If you’re a Photoshop user who hasn’t watched or subbed to Texturelabs Youtube channel, please do! The guy is astonishing. I used his halftone tutorial a while back to create my ‘posters & stuff’ image to the right! It made the original hi-res image look like a scan from an old magazine, a really nice effect.

The really impressive thing about the video above is the flexibility of his process, the ability to make such incredible images on the fly. And from the look of it, all of the stuff in that video is very backward compatible. I still use Photoshop CS6 (as I hate the cloud with a passion); most of the stuff in there is the same as in CS6 – with the exception of duplicating drop shadow – but even there, you could apply workarounds.
